Factors Affecting Styrene Prices

Styrene prices in the United States have been on the rise in recent years, due to a number of factors. First and foremost, demand for styrene has increased as higher prices for crude oil, which is a major feedstock for styrene production. Additionally, new environmental regulations in China have led to that country's styrene producers curtailing output, leading to higher prices globally.

In response to the higher prices, many U.S. companies have been forced to pass along the increases to their customers. This has led to an overall increase in the cost of goods and services that contain styrene. In some cases, companies have had to reduce their use of styrene or switch to alternative materials.
