Factors Affecting Artificial Filament Tow Prices
Artificial filament tow is a type of synthetic fiber that is used in the production of textiles. It is made from a variety of materials, including polyester, nylon, and acrylic. Filament tow is typically used in the production of fabrics such as corduroy, velveteen, and denim.
Turkey is one of the leading producers of artificial filament tow. The majority of Turkey's artificial filament tow output is exported to other countries in Europe and Asia.
Factors that can affect the price of artificial filament tow include raw material costs, currency exchange rates, and global demand. For example, an increase in the price of petroleum-based raw materials would likely lead to an increase in the price of polyester filament tow. Similarly, a weakening of the US dollar relative to other currencies would make US-produced artificial filament tow more expensive for foreign buyers. Lastly, increased global demand for textile products could lead to higher prices for all types of artificial filament.
