Here is Why Polyurethanes Prices in Spain Hit a New Record of $5,622 per Ton
The price of polyurethanes has hit a new record in Spain, reaching $5,622 per ton. This increase is due to a combination of factors, including high demand from the construction industry and limited supply due to production issues at some key manufacturing facilities.
Polyurethanes are versatile materials that are used in a wide range of products, from insulation and furniture to automotive components and footwear. They are particularly popular in the construction industry, where they are used in insulation and roofing materials.
The high demand for polyurethanes in construction has been driven by the increase in construction projects across Spain in recent years. This has put pressure on manufacturers to increase production, but some have encountered difficulties, including supply chain disruptions and raw material shortages.
At the same time, there has been an increase in demand for polyurethanes from other sectors, including the automotive industry. This has put additional pressure on supply, exacerbating the price increases.
Industry experts predict that the price of polyurethanes is likely to remain high in the short term, due to the ongoing supply chain issues. However, they are hopeful that the situation will improve as manufacturers work to resolve production issues and increase supply to meet demand.
