Price of Ploughs in Poland Increases Significantly to $1,920 per Unit
Poland Plough Import Price in December 2022
In December 2022, the plough price stood at $1,920 per unit (CIF, Poland), rising by 14% against the previous month. Over the last twelve months, it increased at an average monthly rate of +3.7%. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in March 2022 when the average import price increased by 30% m-o-m. The import price peaked at $1,959 per unit in May 2022; afterwards, it flattened through to December 2022.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Germany ($3,005 per unit), while the price for Italy ($1,203 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From December 2021 to December 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Austria (+13.2%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Poland Plough Imports
Plough imports into Poland contracted sharply to 817 units in December 2022, declining by -55.5% compared with November 2022 figures. Over the period under review, imports continue to indicate a abrupt curtailment. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in May 2022 with an increase of 64% month-to-month. Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum at 2.1K units in June 2022; however, from July 2022 to December 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, plough imports dropped rapidly to $1.6M (IndexBox estimates) in December 2022. In general, imports recorded a perceptible decrease. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in May 2022 when imports increased by 71% against the previous month. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at 3.8M units in June 2022; however, from July 2022 to December 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.
Poland Plough Imports by Country
Sweden (195 units), France (176 units) and Germany (164 units) were the main suppliers of plough imports to Poland, with a combined 65% share of total imports. Romania, the Czech Republic, Austria and Italy lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 24%.
From December 2021 to December 2022, the biggest increases were in Romania (with a CAGR of +22.8%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced mixed trend patterns.
In value terms, Germany ($493K), Sweden ($361K) and France ($298K) constituted the largest plough suppliers to Poland, together accounting for 73% of total imports. Romania, Austria, the Czech Republic and Italy lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 20%.
Italy, with a CAGR of +48.3%, saw the highest growth rate of the value of imports, among the main suppliers over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced mixed trend patterns.
