There were significant differences in the average export prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2017, the country with the highest export price was Japan ($X per tonne), while China ($X per tonne) was amongst the lowest.

Moreover, Saudi Arabia emerged as the fastest growing importer in Asia, with a CAGR of +X% from 2007-2017. South Korea experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. By contrast, Japan (-X%) and Malaysia (-X%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. In value terms, China ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported phenolic resins in primary forms in Asia, comprising X% of global imports. The second position in the ranking was occupied by South Korea ($X), with a X% share of global imports. It was followed by Thailand, with a X% share.
