Wood Packaging Production Declined Gradually over the Last Three Years

In 2016, the main destination for Mexican packing cases, boxes and similar packages exports was the U.S. (X%, based on USD). Exports into the U.S. grew with a CAGR of +X% per year from 2007 to 2016. Italy ranked second in terms of the main export destinations, with a X% share, followed by Canada, Guatemala and China (X%, each). The share exported to the U.S. decreased (-X percentage points from 2007-2016), conceding to exports into Italy, Canada, Guatemala and China.
The U.S. Strengthened Its Dominance in Terms of Mexican Wood Packaging Imports
The value of the Mexican total imports of packing cases, boxes and similar packages totalled X million USD in 2016, which approx. mirrored the outset level.'
The U.S. (X%, based on USD), followed by China (X%) and Italy (X%) lagging behind, were the main suppliers of packing cases, boxes and similar packages into Mexico, with a combined share of X% of total Mexican imports in 2016. Italy (+X%) was the fastest growing supplier from 2007 to 2016. The U.S. (+X percentage points) and Italy (+X percentage points) strengthened their position in Mexican imports from 2007 to 2016. By contrast, China saw its share reduced by 'X percentage points.
