In 2018, the average condoms import price amounted to $16,112 per tonne, picking up by 12% against the previous year. Over the last eleven-year period, it increased at an average annual rate of +1.6%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 an increase of 12% against the previous year. In that year, the average import prices for condoms (sheath contraceptives) attained their peak level and is likely to continue its growth in the immediate term.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination; the country with the highest price was Hong Kong ($30,470 per tonne), while France ($7,507 per tonne) was amongst the lowest.
