Import Prices by Country
In 2018, the ginger import price in Asia amounted to $X per tonne, remaining stable against the previous year. The import price indicated a moderate growth from 2008 to 2018: its price increased at an average annual rate of +X% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2018 figures, the ginger import price increased by +X% against 2016 indices.
Import prices varied noticeably by the country of destination; the country with the highest import price was Japan ($X per tonne), while Bangladesh ($X per tonne) was amongst the lowest.
