Plastic Office and School Article Supply Price Jumps 18% to $7.1K per Ton After Three Consecutive Months of Decline
Germany Office Supply Import Price per Ton in July 2022
In July 2022, the office supply price per ton amounted to $7.1K (CIF, Germany), jumping by 18% against the previous month. Over the last six months, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.8%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in March 2022 an increase of 22% m-o-m. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $7.2K per ton. From April 2022 to July 2022, the average import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Malaysia ($13.4K per ton), while the price for Turkey ($3.5K per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From January 2022 to July 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Malaysia (+14.9%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Germany Office Supply Imports
In August 2022, supplies from abroad of office or school supplies of plastics decreased by -62.8% to 687 tons, falling for the second month in a row after two months of growth. Germany Office Supply Imports by Country
The Czech Republic (480 tons), China (478 tons) and Poland (330 tons) were the main suppliers of office supply imports to Germany, with a combined 70% share of total imports. The Netherlands, France, Belgium, Austria, Turkey, India and Malaysia lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 24%.
From January 2022 to July 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the main suppliers, was attained by India (with a CAGR of +64.6%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, the largest office supply suppliers to Germany were Poland ($3.3M), the Czech Republic ($2.8M) and China ($2.8M), with a combined 68% share of total imports. The Netherlands, France, Belgium, Austria, Malaysia, India and Turkey lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 23%.
In terms of the main suppliers, India, with a CAGR of +65.8%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
