Germany Jersey Import Price in August 2022
In August 2022, the jersey price amounted to $9.0 per unit (CIF, Germany), approximately mirroring the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in February 2022 an increase of 9.1% month-to-month. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $9,493 per thousand units. From March 2022 to August 2022, the average import prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Italy ($28.5 per unit), while the price for Myanmar ($4.8 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From January 2022 to August 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Cambodia (+4.8%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

In August 2022, purchases abroad of jerseys, pullovers, cardigans and similar articles increased by 51% to 87M units, rising for the fourth consecutive month after three months of decline. Overall, imports saw a strong expansion. As a result, imports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
In value terms, jersey imports skyrocketed to $782M (IndexBox estimates) in August 2022. Over the period under review, imports saw a resilient expansion. As a result, imports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
Germany Jersey Imports by Country
Bangladesh (26M units), China (16M units) and Turkey (9.4M units) were the main suppliers of jersey imports to Germany, with a combined 60% share of total imports. These countries were followed by the Netherlands, Cambodia, Pakistan, Myanmar, Denmark, Poland, India, Belgium and Italy, which together accounted for a further 30%.
From January 2022 to August 2022, the biggest increases were in Cambodia (with a CAGR of +15.8%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, Bangladesh ($169M), China ($160M) and Turkey ($90M) appeared to be the largest jersey suppliers to Germany, together comprising 54% of total imports. These countries were followed by the Netherlands, Italy, Cambodia, Poland, Denmark, India, Pakistan, Belgium and Myanmar, which together accounted for a further 32%.
Cambodia, with a CAGR of +21.4%, saw the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, in terms of the main suppliers over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
