Invalid Carriage Price in Germany Surges 51% to $294 per Unit
Germany Invalid Carriage Export Price in August 2022
In August 2022, the invalid carriage price amounted to $294 per unit (FOB, Germany), picking up by 51% against the previous month. Overall, the export price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in June 2022 an increase of 59% m-o-m. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $387 per unit. From July 2022 to August 2022, the the average export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In August 2022, the country with the highest price was Italy ($535 per unit), while the average price for exports to Turkey ($85.5 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From January 2022 to August 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the UK (+4.6%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Germany Invalid Carriage Exports
In August 2022, the amount of invalid carriages not mechanically propelled exported from Germany dropped dramatically to 5 units, falling by -95.5% compared with the month before. Over the period under review, exports faced a dramatic slump. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in May 2022 when exports increased by 6,300% against the previous month. As a result, the exports reached the peak of 192 units. From June 2022 to August 2022, the growth of the exports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, invalid carriage exports contracted dramatically to $8.6K (IndexBox estimates) in August 2022. In general, exports showed a precipitous slump. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in May 2022 when exports increased by 2,455% m-o-m. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $179K. From June 2022 to August 2022, the growth of the exports remained at a somewhat lower figure.
Germany Invalid Carriage Exports by Country
France (7.5K units), Austria (4.8K units) and the Netherlands (2K units) were the main destinations of invalid carriage exports from Germany, with a combined 50% share of total exports. These countries were followed by the UK, Switzerland, Italy, Finland, Spain, Turkey, Denmark, Ukraine, Belgium and Croatia, which together accounted for a further 30%.
From January 2022 to August 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main countries of destination, was attained by Turkey (with a CAGR of +57.2%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, the largest markets for invalid carriage exported from Germany were France ($990K), the Netherlands ($942K) and the UK ($931K), together comprising 34% of total exports. Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Spain, Finland, Ukraine, Denmark, Croatia, Belgium and Turkey lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 34%.
Turkey, with a CAGR of +35.2%, saw the highest growth rate of the value of exports, in terms of the main countries of destination over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
