In that year, global cash register exports attained its maximum level of $4.5B. From 2009 to 2016, growth of global cash register exports failed to regain its strength. United Arab Emirates (17.6 million USD) Cash Register Exports By Country The countries with the highest levels of cash register exports in 2016 were the Philippines (7.1K tonnes), China, Hong Kong SAR (5.8K tonnes), Hungary (4.9K tonnes), Germany (3.6K tonnes), the Netherlands (3K tonnes), Indonesia (2.3K tonnes), South Korea (1.8K tonnes), the UK (1.3K tonnes), United Arab Emirates (1.1K tonnes), France (1K tonnes), Italy (839 tonnes), and Czech Republic (829 tonnes), together reaching 88% of total export. From 2007 to 2016, the most notable growth rate of cash register exports, among the main exporting countries, was attained by the Philippines (+61.3% per year), while the other global leaders experienced more modest paces of growth. In value terms, the largest cash register markets worldwide were Germany ($237M), Hungary ($191M) and China, Hong Kong SAR ($185M), together comprising 16% of global exports. Hungary (+24.0% per year) recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the cash register exports, among the main exporting countries, over the last 9 years, while the other global leaders experienced more modest paces of growth. Cash Register Export Prices By Country The average cash register export price stood at $97 per kg in 2016, falling by -11.2% against the previous year. In general, cash register export price continues to indicate a perceptible decrease. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2008, when it surged by 9% against the previous year level.

This figure reflects total revenue of producers and importers (excluding logistics costs, retail marketing costs, and retailers’ margins, which will be included in the final consumer price). In physical terms, it experienced an upward trend with, however, somewhat noticeable breakdowns in certain years, finally totalling 34.7M units.

The U.S. holds the second spot in the global cash register trade. In 2014, the U.S. exported 508 thousand units of cash registers totaling 221 million USD, 6% under the previous year. Its primary trading partner was its neighbor, Canada, where it supplied 27.0% of its total cash registers exports in value terms, accounting for 48.7% of Canada's total imports.
