Global nitrogenous fertilizer export peaked in 2016, and are likely to see steady growth in the near future. In value terms, nitrogenous fertilizer exports totaled $22B in 2016. Overall, it indicated a notable increase from 2007 to 2016: the total exports value increased at an average annual rate of +5.0% over the last nine years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations throughout the analyzed period. Based on the result of 2016, nitrogenous fertilizer exports decreased by -22.9% against its level of 2012. Global nitrogenous fertilizer export peaked of $28B in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2016, it stood at a somewhat lower level.
