The U.S. ranks second in global imports of power, distribution, and specialty transformers, following China (X%) with a X% share (based on USD). In 2015, U.S. power, distribution, and specialty transformer imports totaled X million USD, which was X million USD (X%) more than the year before.
From 2007 to 2015, the U.S. power, distribution, and specialty transformer imports remained relatively stable with slight fluctuations, rising with a CAGR of +X%. However, imports showed a slight decline from 2013 to 2014, followed by a X% rebound in 2015.

China strengthened its position in U.S. import structure, increasing from X% in 2007 to X% in 2015. By contrast, Mexico saw its share slightly reduced by 2015.
From 2007 to 2015, the U.S. was a net importer of power, distribution, and specialty transformers. However, exports grew a bit faster than imports on average over the period under review.
Net US imports of power, distribution, and specialty transformers remained relatively stable over the last three years, with minor fluctuations. This industry ran a trade deficit of X billion USD in 2015.
