Vegetable Market - The Netherlands Is the World’s Leading Vegetable Exporter

Its primary trading partner on the global vegetable market was Germany, where it supplied 34% of its total vegetable exports in value terms, accounting for 43% of Germany's total imports.

The share of the U.S. increased (+2 percentage points), while the share of the United Kingdom illustrated negative dynamics (-2 percentage points).
Spain and Mexico were among the other main global suppliers of vegetables in 2014 with a combined share of 24% of global exports. However, the fastest growing exporters from 2007 to 2014 were China (+11% per year) and Mexico (+6% per year). China strengthened its position in the global export structure, from 6% in 2007 to 9% in 2014.
