In value terms, tap and valve exports skyrocketed to $X in 2023. Over the period under review, exports saw a pronounced increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 when exports increased by X%. As a result, the exports attained the peak of $X. From 2014 to 2023, the growth of the exports remained at a somewhat lower figure.
Exports by Country
Nigeria was the major exporting country with an export of around X tons, which accounted for X% of total exports. Burkina Faso (X tons) ranks second in terms of the total exports with a X% share, followed by Ghana (X%), Senegal (X%), Mauritania (X%), Gambia (X%) and Cote d'Ivoire (X%).
Nigeria experienced a relatively flat trend pattern with regard to volume of exports of taps, cocks, valves and similar appliances. At the same time, Burkina Faso (X%), Gambia (X%), Mauritania (X%) and Senegal (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Burkina Faso emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in Western Africa, with a CAGR of X% from 2012-2023. Cote d'Ivoire experienced a relatively flat trend pattern.
