Over the period under review, the exports attained the maximum at X units in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2023, the exports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, electrical transformer exports soared to $X in 2023. The total export value increased at an average annual rate of X% from 2012 to 2023; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years. As a result, the exports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

Exports by Country

Germany was the major exporter of electrical transformers in Europe, with the volume of exports recording X units, which was approx. X% of total exports in 2023. The Netherlands (X units) ranks second in terms of the total exports with a X% share, followed by Romania (X%), France (X%) and Italy (X%). Slovakia (X units), Belgium (X units), the Czech Republic (X units), Hungary (X units), Austria (X units), Spain (X units), Bulgaria (X units) and Poland (X units) followed a long way behind the leaders.

Germany experienced a relatively flat trend pattern with regard to volume of exports of electrical transformers. At the same time, the Netherlands (X%), Bulgaria (X%), Belgium (X%), France (X%), Poland (X%), Romania (X%), Hungary (X%), Slovakia (X%), Spain (X%) and Austria (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, the Netherlands emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in Europe, with a CAGR of X% from 2012-2023. By contrast, the Czech Republic (X%) and Italy (X%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. The Netherlands (X p.p.), Belgium (X p.p.), France (X p.p.) and Bulgaria (X p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the total exports, while the Czech Republic, Italy and Germany saw its share reduced by X%, X% and X% from 2012 to 2023, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

Export Prices by Country

In 2023, the export price in Europe amounted to $X per unit, surging by X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, saw a slight shrinkage. Over the period under review, the export prices hit record highs at $X per unit in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2023, the export prices failed to regain momentum.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2023, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Poland ($X per unit), while Romania ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
