Imports by Country
Somalia was the main importing country with an import of around X tons, which amounted to X% of total imports. Morocco (X tons) held the second position in the ranking, distantly followed by Mozambique (X tons), Namibia (X tons) and Djibouti (X tons). All these countries together took near X% share of total imports. Mauritius (X tons), Cote d'Ivoire (X tons), South Sudan (X tons) and Lesotho (X tons) held a minor share of total imports.
From 2012 to 2023, average annual rates of growth with regard to lettuce and chicory imports into Somalia stood at X%. Mozambique, with a CAGR of X%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, in terms of the main importing countries over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Import Prices by Country
In 2023, the import price in Africa amounted to $X per ton, declining by X% against the previous year. Import price indicated a perceptible expansion from 2012 to 2023: its price increased at an average annual rate of X% over the last eleven-year period.
