Solid-Liquid Separator Price in Japan (FOB) - 2023
The average solid-liquid separator export price stood at $142 per thousand units in September 2023, falling by -12.6% against the previous month. In general, the export price saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in March 2023 when the average export price increased by 25% month-to-month. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $0.2 per unit. From April 2023 to September 2023, the the average export prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In September 2023, the country with the highest price was the United States ($189 per thousand units), while the average price for exports to Greece ($40.0 per thousand units) was amongst the lowest.
From September 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Italy (+2.9%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Solid-Liquid Separator Price in Japan (CIF) - 2023
The average solid-liquid separator import price stood at $137 per thousand units in September 2023, picking up by 1.8% against the previous month. In general, the import price showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in March 2023 an increase of 88% m-o-m. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the maximum at $179 per thousand units in June 2023; however, from July 2023 to September 2023, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In September 2023, the country with the highest price was the United States ($609 per thousand units), while the price for China ($25.0 per thousand units) was amongst the lowest.
From September 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Germany (+2.7%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Solid-Liquid Separator Exports in Japan
For the fourth year in a row, Japan recorded growth in shipments abroad of machinery for solid-liquid separation, which increased by 0.3% to 5.5B units in 2022. The total export volume increased at an average annual rate of +1.3% from 2019 to 2022; the trend pattern remained consistent, with only minor fluctuations in certain years. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 with an increase of 2.3%. Over the period under review, the exports attained the peak figure in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in the near future.
In value terms, solid-liquid separator exports contracted modestly to $815M in 2022. The total export value increased at an average annual rate of +3.9% over the period from 2019 to 2022; the trend pattern remained consistent, with somewhat noticeable fluctuations throughout the analyzed period. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 with an increase of 7.9%. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs at $845M in 2021, and then reduced slightly in the following year.
