In March 2022, the average seals; mechanical import price amounted to $6.4 per unit, surging by 15% against the previous month. In general, the import price enjoyed a perceptible increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in February 2022 an increase of 122% m-o-m. The import price peaked at $8.7 per unit in June 2021; however, from July 2021 to March 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In March 2022, the country with the highest price was Germany ($40.2 per unit), while the price for Russia ($3.6 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From March 2021 to March 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Germany (+13.0%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.

In 2022, the average seals; mechanical export price amounted to $4.1 per unit, waning by -32.8% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, enjoyed a buoyant expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 an increase of 546%. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $6.1 per unit, and then fell notably in the following year.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Kazakhstan ($23 per unit), while the average price for exports to Russia ($0.6 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Kazakhstan (+26.0%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.
