Pyrethrum and Peppermint Price in Uzbekistan (FOB) - 2023
In May 2023, the average pyrethrum and peppermint export price amounted to $757 per ton, rising by 2.4% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the export price, however, recorded a slight descent. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in July 2022 an increase of 46% m-o-m. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $1,277 per ton. From August 2022 to May 2023, the the average export prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In May 2023, the country with the highest price was Taiwan (Chinese) ($1,157 per ton), while the average price for exports to China ($663 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From May 2022 to May 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Myanmar (+3.6%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.
Pyrethrum and Peppermint Price in Uzbekistan (CIF) - 2022
The average pyrethrum and peppermint import price stood at $4,625 per ton in 2022, with a decrease of -20.6% against the previous year. In general, the import price showed a pronounced descent. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 an increase of 72%. The import price peaked at $5,823 per ton in 2021, and then reduced remarkably in the following year.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Kyrgyzstan ($10,094 per ton), while the price for Afghanistan ($245 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2017 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Turkey (+47.0%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
