In 2022, production of hardboard in Lithuania was estimated at 73K cubic meters, approximately equating the year before. The total output volume increased at an average annual rate of +1.7% from 2017 to 2022; the trend pattern remained relatively stable, with somewhat noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2019 with an increase of 6.1%. Over the period under review, production hit record highs at 74K cubic meters in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, production remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, hardboard production fell slightly to $20M in 2022 estimated in export price. Overall, production recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2018 with an increase of 10%. As a result, production attained the peak level of $21M. From 2019 to 2022, production growth remained at a somewhat lower figure.
