After five years of growth, production of hardboard decreased by -2.2% to 14K cubic meters in 2022. Overall, production, however, showed prominent growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 105%. As a result, production attained the peak volume of 14K cubic meters, and then dropped slightly in the following year.
In value terms, hardboard production reached $2.7M in 2022 estimated in export price. Over the period under review, production recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when the production volume increased by 2.9%. As a result, production reached the peak level of $2.8M. From 2021 to 2022, production growth remained at a somewhat lower figure.
