The average import price for propylene, other olefin polymers; propylene copolymers in primary formses stood at $1,098 per ton in 2022, dropping by -17.9% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price continues to indicate a noticeable reduction. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 when the average import price increased by 42%. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $1,665 per ton in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was South Korea ($1,646 per ton), while the price for Japan ($459 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
