The average import price for nuts, edible; cashew nuts, shelled, fresh or drieds stood at $7,894 per ton in October 2023, waning by -7.8% against the previous month. Overall, the import price, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in September 2023 an increase of 29% month-to-month. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $8,562 per ton, and then contracted in the following month.
Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major supplying countries. In October 2023, the country with the highest price was Germany ($10,022 per ton), while the price for Lithuania ($6,860 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From October 2022 to October 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Cote d'Ivoire (+1.8%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average export price for nuts, edible; cashew nuts, shelled, fresh or drieds stood at $7,265 per ton in 2022, almost unchanged from the previous year. In general, the export price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 when the average export price increased by 23%. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $10,630 per ton. From 2018 to 2022, the average export prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was the Czech Republic ($8,401 per ton), while the average price for exports to Russia ($3,580 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the Czech Republic (+2.3%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
