Price for Non-Woven Glass Fibre Articles in Germany (FOB) - 2022
In 2022, the average non-woven glass fibre articles export price amounted to $1,975 per ton, which is down by -2.4% against the previous year. In general, the export price recorded a deep downturn. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 when the average export price increased by 6.7% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the peak figure at $3,474 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Poland ($3,800 per ton), while the average price for exports to Denmark ($908 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Ireland (+1.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.
Price for Non-Woven Glass Fibre Articles in Germany (CIF) - 2021
In November 2021, the average non-woven glass fibre articles import price amounted to $2,391 per ton, dropping by -8.4% against the previous month. In general, the import price, however, continues to indicate a slight increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in December 2020 when the average import price increased by 93% m-o-m. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $4,116 per ton. From January 2021 to November 2021, the average import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Sweden ($14,853 per ton), while the price for Belgium ($901 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From November 2020 to November 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the Czech Republic (+5.7%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Exports of Non-Woven Glass Fibre Articles in Germany
In 2022, overseas shipments of non-woven glass fibre webs, felts, mattresses and boards decreased by -5% to 65K tons for the first time since 2018, thus ending a three-year rising trend. The total export volume increased at an average annual rate of +6.5% from 2019 to 2022; the trend pattern remained relatively stable, with only minor fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when exports increased by 13%.
In value terms, non-woven glass fibre articles exports reduced to $129M in 2022. The total export value increased at an average annual rate of +4.0% from 2019 to 2022; the trend pattern remained consistent, with somewhat noticeable fluctuations in certain years. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when exports increased by 17%. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $139M, and then dropped in the following year.
