In August 2023, the average import price for nickel; tubes and pipes, of nickel alloyses amounted to $51,906 per ton, growing by 22% against the previous month. Overall, the import price posted significant growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in January 2023 when the average import price increased by 274% against the previous month. The import price peaked at $77,024 per ton in June 2023; however, from July 2023 to August 2023, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Sweden ($86,359 per ton), while the price for Germany ($43,204 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From December 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the United States (+29.1%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
