Overall, the export price, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $2.3 per unit in April 2023; however, from May 2023 to November 2023, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
Average prices varied somewhat for the major foreign markets. In November 2023, the country with the highest price was Hong Kong SAR ($2.5 per unit), while the average price for exports to Malaysia ($1.9 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From December 2022 to November 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Malaysia (+1.3%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
