The average fruit, edible; apples, dried import price stood at $7,536 per ton in September 2023, stabilizing at the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in January 2023 an increase of 11% m-o-m. The import price peaked at $7,593 per ton in August 2023, and then shrank slightly in the following month.
Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major supplying countries. In September 2023, the countries with the highest prices were New Zealand ($10,126 per ton) and China ($8,795 per ton), while the price for Chile ($7,099 per ton) and Argentina ($7,461 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From September 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by China (+1.0%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average fruit, edible; apples, dried export price stood at $8,172 per ton in September 2023, rising by 63% against the previous month. In general, the export price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in January 2023 when the average export price increased by 93% month-to-month. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the maximum at $9,085 per ton in November 2022; however, from December 2022 to September 2023, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Average prices varied somewhat for the major external markets. In September 2023, the country with the highest price was Sweden ($8,381 per ton), while the average price for exports to Mexico ($6,579 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From September 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the UK (+1.0%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.
Imports of Fruit, Edible; Apples, Dried in the United States
