Price for Cereal Flour; of Maize (Corn) in Slovenia (FOB) - 2023

In September 2023, the average export price for cereal flour; of maize (corn) amounted to $255 per ton, with an increase of 2.9% against the previous month. Overall, the export price, however, continues to indicate a mild slump. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in December 2022 when the average export price increased by 11% month-to-month. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $357 per ton. From January 2023 to September 2023, the the average export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.

As there is only one major export destination, the average price level is determined by prices for Montenegro.

From October 2022 to September 2023, the rate of growth in terms of prices for Montenegro amounted to +17.3% per month.

The average import price for cereal flour; of maize (corn) stood at $325 per ton in September 2023, picking up by 2.7% against the previous month. Overall, the import price recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in August 2023 an increase of 10% month-to-month. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the peak figure at $374 per ton in December 2022; however, from January 2023 to September 2023, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

As there is only one major supplying country, the average price level is determined by prices for Serbia.

From October 2022 to September 2023, the rate of growth in terms of prices for Hungary amounted to -1.4% per month.

The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, exports increased by +49.0% against 2019 indices.
