In 2022, the average import price for cattle; live, pure-bred breeding animalses amounted to $1,912 per unit, dropping by -2.2% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, showed a remarkable increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 when the average import price increased by 47%. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the peak figure at $2,741 per unit in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.
