The average import price for cabbages, cauliflowers, kohlrabi, kale and similar edible brassicas; fresh or chilleds stood at $1,334 per ton in September 2022, approximately equating the previous month. In general, the import price, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in July 2022 when the average import price increased by 11% m-o-m. The import price peaked at $1,394 per ton in May 2022; however, from June 2022 to September 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In September 2022, the country with the highest price was Australia ($4,986 per ton), while the price for Indonesia ($605 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From January 2022 to September 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Indonesia (+3.9%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.

In September 2022, the average export price for cabbages, cauliflowers, kohlrabi, kale and similar edible brassicas; fresh or chilleds amounted to $1,512 per ton, declining by -25.7% against the previous month. Overall, the export price recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in March 2022 when the average export price increased by 83% month-to-month. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the maximum at $2,324 per ton in May 2022; however, from June 2022 to September 2022, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major external markets. In September 2022, the country with the highest price was Indonesia ($2,236 per ton), while the average price for exports to Malaysia ($1,450 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From January 2022 to September 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Brunei Darussalam (+3.6%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

In 2022, supplies from abroad of cabbages, cauliflowers, kohlrabi, kale and similar edible brassicas; fresh or chilleds decreased by -4.9% to 82K tons, falling for the second consecutive year after two years of growth. In general, imports showed a mild slump. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 when imports increased by 4.2% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of 90K tons. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of imports of remained at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, imports of cabbages, cauliflowers, kohlrabi, kale and similar edible brassicas; fresh or chilleds contracted to $78M in 2022. The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +4.3% from 2019 to 2022; the trend pattern remained relatively stable, with somewhat noticeable fluctuations in certain years. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when imports increased by 13%.
