Persimmon Price in Germany (CIF) - 2023
The average persimmon import price stood at $4,460 per ton in October 2023, rising by 53% against the previous month. Overall, the import price saw strong growth. As a result, import price reached the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
As there is only one major supplying country, the average price level is determined by prices for Brazil.
From October 2022 to October 2023, the rate of growth in terms of prices for the Netherlands amounted to +5.7% per month.
Persimmon Price in Germany (FOB) - 2022
In 2022, the average persimmon export price amounted to $1,781 per ton, growing by 13% against the previous year. Over the period from 2012 to 2022, it increased at an average annual rate of +4.4%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 when the average export price increased by 65%. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $1,909 per ton. From 2014 to 2022, the average export prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Switzerland ($2,336 per ton), while the average price for exports to Poland ($829 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Lithuania (+11.7%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Persimmon Imports in Germany
For the third year in a row, Germany recorded decline in supplies from abroad of persimmons, which decreased by -28.3% to 32K tons in 2022. Overall, imports saw a drastic downturn. The smallest decline of -1.6% was in 2020.
In value terms, persimmon imports declined significantly to $58M in 2022. In general, imports recorded a perceptible shrinkage.
