Pears and Quinces Price in Chile (FOB) - 2023
In July 2023, the average pears and quinces export price amounted to $1,097 per ton, with an increase of 10% against the previous month. Overall, the export price showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in January 2023 when the average export price increased by 45% m-o-m. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $1,362 per ton. From February 2023 to July 2023, the the average export prices remained at a lower figure.
Average prices varied somewhat for the major export markets. In July 2023, the countries with the highest prices were Guatemala ($1,234 per ton) and India ($1,231 per ton), while the average price for exports to Peru ($955 per ton) and Portugal ($969 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From August 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Brazil (+1.6%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Pears and Quinces Price in Chile (CIF) - 2022
In 2022, the average pears and quinces import price amounted to $1,260 per ton, picking up by 4.7% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, continues to indicate a perceptible decline. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2014 when the average import price increased by 9.9% against the previous year.
