Peanut Butter Price in the Netherlands (FOB) - 2023
The average peanut butter export price stood at $3,588 per ton in August 2023, with a decrease of -1.8% against the previous month. Over the last twelve-month period, it increased at an average monthly rate of +2.3%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in January 2023 an increase of 8.6% month-to-month. The export price peaked at $3,655 per ton in July 2023, and then declined in the following month.
Average prices varied somewhat for the major export markets. In August 2023, the countries with the highest prices were Norway ($4,556 per ton) and Sweden ($4,165 per ton), while the average price for exports to Poland ($3,251 per ton) and Ireland ($3,306 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From August 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Poland (+3.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

In August 2023, the average peanut butter import price amounted to $3,785 per ton, jumping by 27% against the previous month. Over the last twelve-month period, it increased at an average monthly rate of +4.4%. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in September 2022 when the average import price increased by 38% against the previous month. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the peak figure in August 2023.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Latvia ($7,063 per ton), while the price for Argentina ($1,638 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
