The average nucleic acids import price stood at $26,893 per ton in July 2023, falling by -28.5% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price recorded a mild decline. The growth pace was the most rapid in April 2023 when the average import price increased by 22% m-o-m. The import price peaked at $39,978 per ton in December 2022; however, from January 2023 to July 2023, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was the United States ($398K per ton), while the price for Belgium ($4,965 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the United States (+14.8%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average nucleic acids export price stood at $26,140 per ton in 2022, increasing by 86% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, continues to indicate a perceptible decline. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 when the average export price increased by 95% against the previous year. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $46,069 per ton. From 2020 to 2022, the average export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
