The average non-liquid margarine import price stood at $2,063 per ton in June 2023, rising by 3.9% against the previous month. Over the last twelve-month period, it increased at an average monthly rate of +2.3%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in July 2022 when the average import price increased by 22% m-o-m. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the maximum at $2,110 per ton in December 2022; afterwards, it flattened through to June 2023.
Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major supplying countries. In June 2023, the highest price was recorded for prices from Belgium ($2,446 per ton) and the Netherlands ($2,114 per ton), while the price for Germany ($1,739 per ton) and Poland ($1,981 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
