Malaysia, India, Turkey, Nigeria, Singapore, Belgium, Taiwan (Chinese), Germany, Australia and Russia lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 39%.

Imports

In 2022, after five years of growth, there was significant decline in supplies from abroad of pumps for dispensing liquids, when their volume decreased by -14.4% to 24M units. In 2022, the United States (6.9M units) represented the key importer of pumps for dispensing liquids, generating 29% of total imports. At the same time, New Zealand (+75.6%), Egypt (+41.2%), India (+33.6%), China (+22.3%), Saudi Arabia (+21.1%), Italy (+17.7%) and Thailand (+8.7%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, New Zealand emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in the world, with a CAGR of +75.6% from 2012-2022. By contrast, France (-4.7%) and the UK (-26.9%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. While the share of New Zealand (+13 p.p.), China (+10 p.p.), the United States (+8.2 p.p.), Saudi Arabia (+3.4 p.p.), India (+3.4 p.p.), Italy (+2.8 p.p.), Egypt (+2.2 p.p.) and Thailand (+1.6 p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the global imports from 2012-2022, the share of the UK (-61.6 p.p.) displayed negative dynamics. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, the United States ($334M), China ($305M) and Saudi Arabia ($75M) appeared to be the countries with the highest levels of imports in 2022, together accounting for 44% of global imports. The UK, Egypt, France, Thailand, India, Italy and New Zealand lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 11%.

Egypt, with a CAGR of +21.2%, saw the highest growth rate of the value of imports, in terms of the main importing countries over the period under review, while purchases for the other global leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Import Prices By Country

The average liquid dispensing pump import price stood at $67 per unit in 2022, picking up by 23% against the previous year. In general, the import price enjoyed a prominent increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2014 an increase of 120% against the previous year. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $72 per unit. From 2015 to 2022, the average import prices failed to regain momentum.

Moreover, Poland emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in the world, with a CAGR of +49.4% from 2012-2022. By contrast, Italy (-6.5%) and Taiwan (Chinese) (-6.9%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. Poland (+12 p.p.), China (+5.7 p.p.), Mexico (+4.3 p.p.), Germany (+3.2 p.p.), Belgium (+2.7 p.p.), India (+2.3 p.p.) and Singapore (+2.2 p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the global exports, while Taiwan (Chinese), Italy and the UK saw its share reduced by -5.8%, -6% and -6.1% from 2012 to 2022, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, the United States ($306M), Poland ($183M) and Germany ($163M) were the countries with the highest levels of exports in 2022, together comprising 47% of global exports.

Poland, with a CAGR of +75.2%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, in terms of the main exporting countries over the period under review, while shipments for the other global leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Export Prices By Country

In 2022, the average liquid dispensing pump export price amounted to $120 per unit, growing by 8.5% against the previous year. Overall, the export price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 when the average export price increased by 22%. The global export price peaked at $149 per unit in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
