The average ferro-alloys; ferro-vanadium export price stood at $27,452 per ton in June 2023, surging by 2.7% against the previous month. Over the period under review, export price indicated a mild increase from June 2022 to June 2023: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +1.1% over the last twelve months. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on June 2023 figures, ferro-alloys; ferro-vanadium export price decreased by -10.9% against April 2023 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in February 2023 when the average export price increased by 35% month-to-month. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $30,820 per ton in April 2023; however, from May 2023 to June 2023, the export prices failed to regain momentum.

Average prices varied noticeably for the major overseas markets. In June 2023, the country with the highest price was Slovakia ($31,306 per ton), while the average price for exports to Spain ($25,536 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the Netherlands (+1.8%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.

Over the period under review, the import price showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in April 2023 when the average import price increased by 15% m-o-m. The import price peaked at $33,563 per ton in May 2023, and then reduced in the following month.

Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major supplying countries. In June 2023, the country with the highest price was Slovakia ($35,025 per ton), while the price for Austria ($24,400 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Estonia (+12.6%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
