Black Printing Ink Price in Hong Kong SAR (FOB) - 2023
In June 2023, the average black printing ink export price amounted to $16,462 per ton, waning by -31% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the export price continues to indicate a deep contraction. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in April 2023 an increase of 58% m-o-m. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the peak figure at $43,786 per ton in July 2022; however, from August 2022 to June 2023, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In June 2023, the country with the highest price was Indonesia ($37,673 per ton), while the average price for exports to Macao SAR ($4,468 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Indonesia (+3.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.

In 2022, the average black printing ink import price amounted to $7,129 per ton, dropping by -21% against the previous year. Over the period under review, import price indicated a mild increase from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +1.1% over the last decade.
