Almond Price in Singapore (CIF) - 2022
The average almond import price stood at $4,930 per ton in 2022, waning by -18.4% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price saw a noticeable decline. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2014 an increase of 16%. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $9,170 per ton in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was China ($7,743 per ton), while the price for Malaysia ($975 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by China (+3.9%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.
Almond Price in Singapore (FOB) - 2022
The average almond export price stood at $6,073 per ton in 2022, declining by -24.6% against the previous year. In general, the export price recorded a pronounced setback. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 an increase of 66%. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $11,868 per ton. From 2018 to 2022, the average export prices remained at a lower figure.
Average prices varied somewhat for the major foreign markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the countries with the highest prices were Fiji ($7,743 per ton) and Brunei Darussalam ($7,308 per ton), while the average price for exports to Bangladesh ($5,442 per ton) and the United Arab Emirates ($6,046 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the United Arab Emirates (+28.7%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Almond Imports in Singapore
In 2022, after two years of decline, there was significant growth in supplies from abroad of almonds, when their volume increased by 78% to 203 tons. Overall, imports, however, saw a sharp descent.
